About Brighton Phoenix Basketball

Brighton Phoenix Sparks Basketball is a development-focused, inclusive basketball club in Brighton.

The club creates opportunities for children, young players and women to play, learn and develop through basketball.

We welcome beginners, support growing players and provide selected competitive opportunities for those ready to take their game further.

A club for learning, confidence and community

Basketball is fast, skilful and exciting, but the value of the game goes beyond what happens on the court.

At Brighton Phoenix Sparks Basketball, we use the sport to help players build confidence, communicate clearly, work as part of a team and keep going when things get difficult.

The club supports junior players aged 6 and above, girls and boys, beginners, developing players, selected league teams and women through Phoenix Flames.

Some players come for fun, fitness and friendship. Some want to train, compete and keep improving. Both have a place in the club.

What matters is that every player feels welcome, safe and supported to develop at the right pace for them.

The club is built around:

  • Enjoyment
  • Teamwork
  • Confidence
  • Development
  • Community
  • Safety
  • Respect

Our aim is simple: help people enjoy basketball, feel part of the club and grow through the game.
